Bay Quilters General Meeting – Beaumaris Library Hall
15 January @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
FreeDue to the recent rise in case numbers the committee has decided this meeting will be a picnic at the rear of Beaumaris Community Centre (‘our hall’) from 10.30 to 12 noon. There will be no charge, no raffle and no door prize.
We have a plan for fine weather, and an alternate plan for a rainy or extremely hot day. As usual, a reminder email will be sent a few days before the meeting and by then we’ll have an idea of the weather forecast.
In fine weather:
- We’ll meet outside so there is no need to check in to Bay Quilters
- Please come to the rear of the hall, as there will be no access through the hall
- Members will need to sign our attendance book for insurance purposes
- If you enter the library for the bathroom, please use the front door of the library only and check in using their QR code
- BYO chair, drinks, snacks, hat, sunscreen and name badge
- Please bring any Quilts from the Heart, and row by row quilts
- The library will operate outside from 10.30 until 11.30am
- Please bring a face mask as you’ll need it to browse the BQ library
- QFTH kits will be available
- Show & Tell will be outside
If the forecast is for rain, or a maximum over 35 degrees, we will move to the hall and be open for one hour only 10.30am until 11.30am. This would not be a sit & sew, and there will be no tables or chairs set out.
- The door to the hall will open to members at 10.30 am, no earlier. If you arrive prior to 10.30am, please wait outside the building
- You must wear a face mask
- You must enter via the front door of the library and exit via the rear door of the hall
- check in to Bay Quilters using our QR code, and sign the attendance book
- The library will be open from 10.30 until 11.30am. Time will be strictly observed
- Please bring any Quilts from the Heart, and row by row quilts
- QFTH kits will be available
- There will be no Show & Tell
- Please do only what you need to do and exit via the rear door
We understand the disappointment in not having a monthly meeting as we know it. The committee is making decisions in light of the current case numbers, and we’re very aware of our duty to offer a safe environment for our members.
Looking forward to seeing you on 15 January.
