Contemporary Group at Highett Neighbourhood House – Saturday, 10th August at 10 am

Everyone is welcome!  Today we are going to have a revision of techniques done so far, and then we are going to try putting our pieces together into a quilt(s).  A sort of kitchen sink type quilt (anything goes! using what we already have)/improv quilt.  We will no doubt need to make a few spare parts to add to what we have, so please bring anything you have made so far, and whatever fabric you think will go into a quilt using your pieces.  The plan is that we will work together in groups to produce a quilt/quilts.

Plus cutting mat, rotary cutter, rulers, scissors, freezer paper, etc etc etc. and ideas.

This event costs $5 per person to cover the cost of hiring the room.  Please make sure you have the correct cash with you.  Please sign the BQ attendance book on arrival for insurance purposes.

As well as your NAME BADGE, sewing essentials, please bring your own lunch, drink, mug and any utensils you need.

A requirements list and information will be sent out via email prior to the date.  Please arrive before 10 am if possible, so that we can get set up and ready to start at 10 o’clock.
