DESCRIPTION:This Workshop will be led by Margaret Swan & Beth Fennessy (0429 863 163). \nCome & join the fun\, learn a new block and support our charity. \nPLACES STILL AVAILABLE. \nWHEN: Saturday 19 September (after BQ meeting) 2.30-4.30pm. \nAfternoon tea provided – bring your mug. \nWHERE: Small room\, Beaumaris Community Centre\, Reserve Rd\, Beaumaris. \nCOST:  cash payable direct to Beth at the August and September meetings  for the 2-hour workshop. Receive your kit with a copy of the block\, instructions and all fabric provided. \n  \nALL MONEY IS DONATED TO CF Together (Vic/NSW) via the Abbie Fennessy Trust \nPlease bring – \n\nSewing machine with quarter inch foot\, extension cord\, power board (if you have one)\nLight grey/neutral thread- 40 or 50 weight\nScissors\, quick unpick\, pins\, rotary cutter (cutting board provided) 2B pencil & sandpaper board (optional)\nCash for workshop costs. Please pay Beth Fennessy $25 cash at the August meeting to secure your place. Do NOT pay into BQ bank account\, this is a CF event\, not a BQ event.\n\nAll monies donated to CFT to provide young adults living with CF the psychological support required whilst navigating their continuing health challenges. \nPlease donate the block you make in this workshop. The quilt will be completed and be gifted to a bereaved family from Cystic Fibrosis.

SUMMARY:Bay Quilters Sit and Sew Day - Saturday\, 26 September at 9 am
DESCRIPTION:Everybody is welcome to this event!!!      Come along and join in the fun\, a day to sit and sew together. \n\nWe are going to have an organised ‘stitch-in’ for those that wish to participate where we set up work stations and everyone is given a job\, for example:  pattern/fabric selection\, cutting\, sewing\, ironing\, basting\, binding.  You are all welcome to join in\, whether you have previously made quilts for QFTH or not.  Many hands make light work!  However\, if you would rather carry on with your own project\, that is fine too!!  The idea is to spend the day sewing together. \nBYO sewing machine\, cutting mats\, scissors\, templates/rulers\, power boards\, cushion to sit on\, and all you might need sewing-wise. \nTea and coffee will be supplied.  We will ask everyone attending to bring a small plate for morning and afternoon teas.\nBYO cup\, lunch\, mug and badge.\n\n\n We would love to see you on the day\, if only for an hour or so. Please don’t forget your Bayquilters badge.\n\nPlease try and pre-register by emailing Susanne or Marg\, or give Susanne a call\, her details are in the newsletter.\nBut if you decide on the day to come\, and have not booked\, still come along and we will fit you in.\n\n
